Chennai/Hyderabad, june 21 (Maxim News): Ammonia gas leaked in a seafood processing unit. Two workers died in the accident. More than 50 others fell ill. They were taken to the hospital and are receiving treatment. Some are said to be in critical condition. (ammonia gas leak) The incident took place in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district. Ammonia gas leaked on Sunday at the St. Peters and Paul Seafoods Exports center in Kannigaipair near Periyapalayam.
Meanwhile, two of the workers working there died due to this incident. Around 46 people suffered from health problems like vomiting and difficulty breathing. They were immediately taken to the hospital in ambulances and are receiving treatment.
On the other hand, it is reported that the condition of some workers is critical. Seven are reportedly being treated on ventilators. A police officer said that most of the affected workers are from northern states. CM Vijay has ordered an investigation into the incident.(Maxim News)
