Hyderabad, May 12 (Maxim News): Telangana Minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy said Germany offers significant career opportunities for youth and encouraged nursing trainees to make full use of international employment prospects through the Triple Win Programme conducted by TOMCOM.
The Minister interacted with nurses undergoing training under the programme and advised them to view the challenges of learning a new language and adapting to a foreign environment as opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Addressing the trainees, Vivek Venkataswamy said nurses play a key role in patient recovery. He stated that confidence and reassurance provided by nurses help patients recover faster.
He also highlighted that TOMCOM is creating international level employment opportunities for nursing professionals. According to him, the success of the current batch in Germany would pave the way for more candidates in the coming years.
TOMCOM Expands Overseas Job Opportunities
The Minister urged trainees to focus seriously on learning the German language. He stressed that communication skills are essential in today’s global employment market. He added that online platforms have made foreign language learning easier and encouraged nurses to spend at least one hour daily on skill development.
Vivek Venkataswamy further advised trainees to understand German culture and reach a stage where they could comfortably read German books and communicate effectively in the language.
The Minister said the Telangana government has allocated special budget funds for TOMCOM activities. He also assured trainees that he would discuss with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy the possibility of increasing nursing colleges and seats across the state.
During the programme, the Minister interacted online with nurses currently working in Germany and reviewed their experiences.
Commissioner Hari Chandana shared her experience of learning Hindi through films and encouraged trainees to adopt practical methods while learning German. She stated that the state government is offering free foreign language training and advised candidates to practice the language regularly with friends.
Hari Chandana also encouraged trainees to think in German and gradually adapt themselves to the country’s culture and work environment.
Meanwhile, TOMCOM Director Kanthi Wesley said the organisation signed an agreement with the German Federal Employment Agency to facilitate overseas jobs.
He revealed that 46 nurses completed German language training, while 15 candidates received offer letters. He also stated that seven nurses have already joined jobs in Germany. (Maxim News)
