GHMC Commissioner Orders Focus on Cleanliness Drive

GHMC | Hyderabad, Dec. 29 (Maxim News): GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan ordered zonal and deputy commissioners to boost cleanliness efforts.

He stressed special attention across Greater Hyderabad. This directive supports a new special cleanliness program launched Monday.

The program targets citywide sanitation. GHMC teams cleaned foot overbridges on the first day. Zonal commissioners monitored field-level drives. Consequently, initial efforts focused on high-traffic areas.

GHMC | Special Inspections in Key Areas

Commissioner Karnan conducted surprise checks in Kismatpur, Narsingi, and Sun City. He inspected ongoing cleanliness activities. Officials must implement drives effectively, he directed.

Upcoming schedules include flyovers, road sides, and dividers. Teams will clear central medians, kerbstones, lakes, and drains.

Footpaths, parks, and construction debris removal top priorities. Workers will clean around transformers and electric poles.

Therefore, GHMC aims for thorough waste elimination. Past drives improved urban hygiene in Hyderabad. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) manages over 650 square kilometers.

It serves 10 million residents daily. This initiative builds on recent sanitation successes. Scheduled operations ensure sustained cleanliness. Thus, the commissioner emphasized strict adherence to timelines.
