Google is an Innovative Company, Ours is an Innovative Government: CM Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad, June 18 (Maxim News): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today described Google as an innovative company, adding that his government, too, is driven by innovation. The Chief Minister made these remarks while inaugurating India’s first Google Safety Engineering Center (GSEC) in Hyderabad. The event was attended by Minister Sridhar Babu, senior officials, and Google representatives.
Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy highlighted the increasing role of technology in everyday life. “Today, our lives, economy, and governance have all become digital. This makes digital security a priority for everyone,” he noted. The CM expressed happiness over Google choosing Hyderabad for this landmark facility, emphasizing that it would contribute significantly to the digital safety ecosystem.
Revanth Reddy also spoke about the state’s focus on skill development. He mentioned the upcoming Young India Skill University in Hyderabad, chaired by industrialist Anand Mahindra. “We aim to provide more than just certificates — our mission is to empower youth with real-world skills,” he said.
Highlighting the government’s ambitious initiatives, the Chief Minister announced plans to make one crore women in Telangana millionaires through various schemes. He humorously pointed out that while Google’s campus in Hyderabad spans two acres, the state’s women’s campus, located right opposite the tech giant’s office, covers three and a half acres — calling them “your competitors.”
Revanth Reddy also recalled the government’s efforts to integrate marginalized communities, noting that transgenders have been employed in the state’s traffic management system as part of its inclusive employment policies. (Maxim News)
