Guv To Open Hyderabad Book Fair This Evening

Hyderabad, Dec.22 (Maxim News): A 10-day 33rd annual Hyderabad National Book Fair will be inaugurated by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan at NTR Stadium on December 23 at 5 pm.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Hyderabad Book Fair president Juluru Gowri Shankar said the exhibition involving writers and Telugu literary personalities with the help of the State government will help to take the spirit of the Book Fair Society into the ardent book lovers.

The Book Fair will have some 330 stalls, wherein publishers from various States would take part. There are some 80 new writers, who would exhibit their books here, he said, adding all the stalls would put up books for sale in various languages, including English, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.

Hyderabad Book Fair, Secretary K. Chandra Mohan said the book exhibition attracted some 10 lakh people last year. The Book Fair Society was also planning to organize 2,000 book fairs in 2020 at various places across the State. (Maxim News)
