Hafeezpet Assault: Home Guard Removed From Service

Hafeezpet Assault | Hyderabad, Sept. 19 (Maxim News): A Telangana Home Guard allegedly involved in assaulting a woman near Hafeezpet Railway Station has been removed from service.

Director General of Police C.V. Anand said on Saturday that a criminal case would also be registered against the Home Guard. The action follows a video of the alleged assault that surfaced online and drew public attention.

Anand said the Home Guard was working on deputation with the Railway Protection Force (RPF). He directed the Cyberabad Police Commissioner to take immediate action in connection with the incident.

Hafeezpet Assault Case Under Police Action

South Central Railway said the personnel involved was identified as a Telangana State Police Home Guard deputed for duty at Hafeezpet Railway Station. Railway authorities said he was repatriated to the Telangana Police Department for necessary disciplinary action.

A video circulating online purportedly shows the man physically assaulting the woman and dragging her by her hair near the station. The exact circumstances leading to the confrontation were not immediately clear from the footage.

Police are expected to examine the available footage and other evidence while taking further action. The woman’s complaint and other details will be part of the investigation.
