Harish Rao Bought Assigned Land: Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy

Hyderabad, Sept. 13: Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has accused BRS leader Harish Rao of acquiring assigned land in Siddipet district.

Ponguleti alleged that Harish Rao purchased 6 acres and 18 guntas of assigned land in Velikatti village. He claimed the land was registered in the name of Harish Rao’s maternal uncle, Hanumantha Rao.

The minister made the allegations on September 13. He alleged that Harish Rao used his influence to alienate government and assigned lands worth thousands of crores of rupees.

Ponguleti claimed that the Velikatti land originally carried assigned land status. He alleged that officials later removed the property from the 22 A list and converted it into patta land.

According to the minister, the land was worth between Rs 12 crore and Rs 18 crore after the change. He also alleged that Harish Rao received money linked to a Mission Bhagiratha pipeline that passed through the same land.

Harish Rao Land Allegations Extend to Medak

Ponguleti also alleged a major land scam in Medak district. He referred to land claimed by the Waqf Board in Silindapur.

The minister said the Waqf Board had claimed 569 acres in the area. He alleged that officials transferred more than 372 acres to ORCs through the RDO.

Ponguleti claimed the transfers took place five days before the 2023 election schedule was announced. He further alleged that the beneficiaries cultivated the land.

The minister also alleged that money generated through the disputed land transactions funded election activities. He did not provide further details of the alleged transactions in the statement.

The allegations involve government land records and changes in land status. Such claims require verification through official records and relevant government inquiries.

Harish Rao Land Row Linked to Narsapur

Ponguleti also raised allegations involving 112 acres of land in Narsapur mandal. He claimed officials removed the land from the 22 A provisions.

The minister further alleged that officials transferred the land to a single family. He described the alleged action as part of a wider plan linked to political interests in Medak district.

Ponguleti accused those involved of attempting to prevent the Congress from winning in Medak. He strongly criticised what he described as a land related conspiracy.

The minister’s remarks add to political tensions between the Congress government and BRS leaders. However, the allegations remain claims made by Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

No independent evidence or official finding confirming the allegations appeared in the material provided for this report. Any legal or administrative action would depend on investigations and verification of land records.
