Hyderabad, April 22: T Harish Rao welcomed the High Court stay on the Justice PC Ghose Commission report on the Kaleshwaram Project, calling it a significant development.
He said the Telangana High Court directed the government not to act on the report. Moreover, he claimed the verdict upheld principles of natural justice.

Harish Rao said the court found the commission report invalid. Therefore, he alleged that earlier claims against the project lacked legal basis.
He also stated that attempts were made to discredit the BRS using the Kaleshwaram issue. However, he said the verdict has now clarified the situation.
He criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over his remarks on the project. He claimed the ruling exposed political narratives around the issue.
Furthermore, he demanded that pending issues related to the Medigadda barrage be addressed. He stressed the need for transparency and completion of works.
Harish Rao reiterated that the Kaleshwaram project remains vital for Telangana. He said it continues to serve as a key irrigation lifeline for the state.
