HC Orders Re-Postmortem On Bodies Of Disha Killers Completed

Hyderabad, Dec.21 (Maxim News): The High Court here today directed the State government to hold a re-postmortem on the bodies of four accused in Disha murder case. It also asked the government to shoot video of the entire process.

The court said the re-post mortem must be completed by Monday evening. It asked the State government to handover the bodies of the accused to their family members after completion of the re-post mortem. It also asked the State government to submit the report consisting of the relevant evidence of the re-post mortem report in a sealed cover to the court.

A division bench of the court, comprising Chief Justice RS Chauhan, Justice A. Abhishek Reddy passed these orders while dealing with a batch of Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petitions filed by different persons seeking action against the police, who have carried the encounter of the four accused at Chatanpally in Shadnagar mandal.
Superintendent of Gandhi hospital Dr Shravan Kumar appeared before the High Court in compliance with its earlier order to inform it about the current status of the dead bodies. The superintendent told the High Court that the bodies of the accused had been brought to the Gandhi hospital on December 9. He said the bodies were decomposed by 50 percent till now and they will be decomposed completely in another week’s time.

The division bench also ordered that the bullets and weapons used by the police in the alleged encounter killing should also be preserved with the Special Investigation Team. The SIT should also preserve the vehicles used by the Police and maintain a record of all other details carefully. (Maxim News)
