Hyderabad: Heavy rains are expected to occur in isolated parts across Telangana on Friday, the Meteorological Department stated. The weather department has also forecasted wind speeds of 30-40 kmph at surface level over the state.
The sky in the capital city remained cloudy today, with the forecast suggesting light to moderate rains. Meanwhile, heavy rains lashed Hyderabad, leaving the city’s roads waterlogged.
It began to rain heavily around 9 pm yesterday and continued through the night and today. The capital city had its share of rainfall, which was the highest in recent times, submerging roads in many places.
A ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued for Hyderabad and the entire Telangana region for today and tomorrow.
The Meteorological department has predicted moderate rainfall this morning, with a possibility of heavy downpours in the evening.
