Hyderabad: Danger Due To Illegal Construction on Nalas says Talasani

Hyderabad, Dec 23 (Maxim News): Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Talasani Srinivas Yadav has examined the big nala that collapsed in Chaknawadi in Goshamahal Assembly segment and ordered the officials to identify the encroached on nalas and other places.

After seeing the place of the incidents, he said that it is fortunate that the incident took place at a time when there were fewer people. He asked the people to cooperate with the authorities and follow the rules. He assured that strict measures will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.

Hyderabad Nala Encrachments

Cars, autos, and two-wheelers fell into Chaknawadi in Gosha Mahal when the bridge under the road caved in. A market is organized in Basti every Friday. Many people come here to buy vegetables and other things. At the same time, Nala collapsed and people fell into it along with the vegetable shops. Many people were injured in this incident.

Locals say that the road was built on Nala 40 years ago, and the reason is that trucks from transport and timber depots moving with overload. The locals said that no matter how many times they complained to the authorities and leaders, they were ignored.

Meanwhile, vehicular movement in the locality has been stopped. As a safety measure, people living on the line of the Nala have been evacuated. Locals initially thought it was an earthquake and were in a state of panic for a brief period.

Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh came to the spot to inspect the rescue works and blamed the previous regime for not laying proper roads in the area. (Maxim News)
