Hyderabad Rains Disrupt Flight Operations At Shamshabad Airport

Hyderabad, June 13: Heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions disrupted flight operations at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Friday, leading to diversions and delays for several incoming flights.

Airport authorities temporarily restricted landings as weather conditions around the airport were not considered suitable for safe operations.

Flights arriving from Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi, Bengaluru and Singapore were among those affected by the disruption.

Officials said flight movements were impacted due to reduced visibility and weather related operational constraints. As a result, some aircraft were diverted until conditions improved.

Passengers experienced inconvenience due to delays and changes in arrival schedules.

The disruption came as heavy rain affected several parts of Hyderabad and surrounding areas, causing traffic congestion and waterlogging across the city.
