Hyderabad: Three Killed In Cellar Excavation Due To Mud Pond Collapse
Hyderabad, Feb 5 (Maxim News): A tragedy has taken place in LB Nagar in the city. A mishap occurred during the excavation of a cellar. While working inside the cellar, mounds of earth collapsed from above. Four workers were working in the cellar at the time of the accident.

Three workers died on the spot when the mounds of earth collapsed. One was seriously injured. As soon as the information was received, the police and fire personnel reached the spot and took up rescue operations. Three bodies were taken out from under the mounds of earth.
However, after two hours of hard work, three bodies were recovered with great difficulty. The police identified the three deceased as residents of Bihar The deceased have been identified as Veeraiah, Vasu, and Ramulu.
The bodies of the three were shifted to Osmania Hospital for postmortem, while the seriously injured person was shifted to a local hospital. Suddenly, a loud noise was heard as the earthen mounds in the cellar collapsed, causing panic among the locals.
Two of the deceased were identified as a father and son. As all the deceased were from the same family, a shadow of sadness fell over the working area.
However, according to GHMC rules, precautions have to be taken while digging cellars. Locals say that this accident happened because no precautions were taken while digging cellars. For some time now, excavations have been carried out for the cellars on a large scale during the construction of this apartment.
Locals are complaining that large-scale explosions are taking place at night. Although this matter has been brought to the attention of GHMC officials, they have not paid any attention.

It seems that all these cellars are 40 feet deep. Even though such large-scale excavations are being carried out, the GHMC officials have acted as if they did not see it. Locals are angry that such incidents are taking place because the GHMC officials are giving permissions. (Maxim News)
