“If There’s A Problem With India” Don’t Buy Oil And Refined Products: EAM Jaishankar Clarifies To Trump

Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 23 (Maxim News): External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has made key comments on US President Donald trump’s imposition of additional tariffs on India for the sole reason that it is buying oil from Russia. he once again clarified that his government’s decisions will be in the interest of the people of the country. Jaishankar made it clear to US president Trump that if there is any problem with India, there is no need to buy products from this country.

Jaishankar participated in the World Leaders Forum held in Delhi under the auspices of the ‘Economic Times’, Speaking on the occasion, he mentioned the criticism leveled against India over its purchase of Russian oil. He said that the india-US trade talks are still ongoing. However, he said that our country has certain interests and it is our responsibility to protect them. He said that his priority will be to protect the interests of our farmers and small scale producers.

Jaishankar said that there is no room for compromise on this issue and that it is ridiculous for some to blame them for supporting the US machinery that is pursuing a trade agenda. If you (America) really have a problem with India, then do not buy its oil and refined products .

No one is forcing you to buy them. If you do not like them, then do not buy them, Jaishankar made it clear. Jaishankar said that before president Trump fully announced the additional tariffs, they would not have any discussions with the US on the issue of Russian oil. (Maxim News)
