Hyderabad, June 27: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday inaugurated IITEX 2026, the Industrial Innovation and Technology Expo, at Hitex Exhibition Centre and said future manufacturing would be driven by intelligence rather than machines.
Addressing industrialists, entrepreneurs and technology leaders, he said industrial competitiveness would depend on efficiency, communication between systems, energy conservation and smart technologies.
The three day expo is being organised by the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry and focuses on industrial automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, smart factories and emerging technologies.
Vikramarka said Telangana had emerged as a hub for growth, innovation and investor confidence over the past decade. He said the State government viewed investors as wealth creators and remained committed to maintaining a business friendly environment.
The Deputy Chief Minister said Telangana’s industrial growth strategy rests on five pillars including innovation, sustainability, skills development, MSME growth and partnerships.
He invited private sector participation through public private partnership models and said the government aimed to build a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047.

Highlighting sustainability goals, he said Telangana had granted full road tax exemption for electric vehicles and had crossed 5 GW of installed solar capacity. The State now targets 34 GW by 2035.
FTCCI President R Ravi Kumar said IITEX 2026 was created to connect businesses, policymakers and technology providers while enabling networking and adoption of advanced technologies.
The expo highlights sectors including electric mobility, solar energy, food processing technologies, industrial automation and smart manufacturing.
Convenor Vimlesh Gupta said more than 100 exhibitors were participating and organisers expected over 15,000 business visitors during the event.
MSME Development and Facilitation Office Joint Director C S S Rao said the Ministry of MSME continued to support industrial competitiveness through schemes encouraging participation in trade fairs.
Exhibitors showcased innovations including eco friendly construction materials, recycled products, automated cooking systems, air circulation technologies and smart industrial solutions. The exhibition will continue until Sunday.
