IML Announces Launch Of MedLegal Helpline

Hyderabad, Feb.28 (Maxim News): India’s leading medico legal solutions provider – Institute of Medicine & Law (IML) announced the launch of a MedLegal Helpline, at the annual conference of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) titled CRITICARE 2020. The conference is being held in the city from February 28 to March 1.

The MedLegal Helpline is first of its kind premium helpline for all Indian doctors practicing allopathic medicine in the country and is available in two service formats–one is a 24 x 7 emergency helpline and the other is a knowledge helpline.

“We are delighted to launch MedLegal Helpline as part of our strategic initiative to provide legal advisory services to Indian doctors practicing allopathic medicine. The idea of launching it at Criticare 2020 is a perfect tribute to the intensivists for whom emergency is a day to day word. We are grateful to ISCCM for this privilege. MedLegal Helpline as a service in line with our product portfolio strategy for India as a country before we expand our footprint to go international,” said Sunder Rajan, Chief Executive Officer, IML.

The service is being rolled out to medical professionals through medical associations, pharmaceutical companies and on various social media platforms besides being available on the IML website – https://www.imlindia.com/

Ravindra Mangal, Executive Director, IML said: “IML is the only organization in this domain to have a systematic, evidence-based approach towards identifying, segregating and leveraging judgments from the higher Courts in India which are very useful to both medical practitioners and lawyers operating in the medical negligence domain. This approach coupled with expertise and experience of our MedLegal speakers across India has helped us understand practical issues faced by our colleagues in the medical profession and that precisely forms the bedrock for a service like MedLegal Helpline. Given our reach and penetration of over 25 medical associations across India through our two key initiatives viz. SOP on patients consent and National Convention on Medicine & Law (NCML), I am confident that MedLegal Helpline will soon be a much sought-after service by medical professionals”. (Maxim News)
