Installation of electricity meters for agriculture pump sets will become mandatory if BJP wins: KCR

Nunugodu (Nalgonda), Aug.20 (Maxim News): TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao cautioned that it would become a mandatory for installation of electricity meters at the agriculture pump sets if people voted to Bharatiya Janata Party candidate in the ensuing by-election to Munugodu Assembly constituency.

He also cautioned farmers that the facility of free power supply to agriculture and Rythu Bandu and Rythu Beema schemes would be stopped if the BJP candidate was elected.

Addressing the huge gathering of public meeting at near Choutuppal in Munugodu Assembly segment, the Chief Minister said the BJP government at the Centre was pressurising the Telangana to install the meters at the agriculture pump sets and give up the facility of free power supply to farmers.

” As long as I live, I will not allow installing the electricity meters to the agriculture pump sets and the schemes of Rythu Bandu and Rythu Beema will not be stopped in Telangana,” KCR announced.

He alleged that the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was hatching a conspiracy to weaken the agriculture sector in the country by withdrawing all facilities to farmers and to make it a corporate farming with the support of his business friends in the days to come.

KCR said that the TRS party would never allow the Centre’s conspiracies that will be distabalised the agriculture sector and the party would fight forever for the welfare of farmers.

He also demanded that Union Home Minister Amith Shah, who would be addressing a public meeting in Munugodu on Sunday, should give answer that why the Union government has been failing to find out the share of Telangana State in the allocation of Krishna river waters for the last eight years.

Union Minister Amith Shah should admit his government’s failures in the public for the unable to find out the share of Telangana in the Krishna river waters. Otherwise, he has no right to speak about the Telangana State, KCR said.

On the occasion, the TRS president thanked the Communist Party of India ( CPI) for extending its support to the TRS candidate in the Munugodu by-election and hoped that the CPI (M) would take the same decision of supporting the TRS soon.

Alleging that the country’s unity and integrity are being weakened under the rule of BJP government at the Centre, KCR said the time has come to be united by all progressive forces and other like minded parties for the protection of the country.

The general elections in Telangana are just a year away. There is no valid reason for the Munugodu by-elections. But, the BJP has unnecessarily brought this election and rubbed it on us. People should teach a fitting lesson to it in the ensuing polls,” KCR said.

He said that the TRS government had put an end to the fluorosis crisis in erstwhile Nalgonda district with effective implementation of Mission Bhagiratha and supplying drinking water to every household through tap connections. (Maxim News)
