Internet/Hyderabad, Aug 14 (Maxim News): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will soon visit India. Sources have revealed that he will attend the BRICS Summit to be held in Delhi in September. Hisparticipation int he International Summit chaired by india assumes significance at a time of tensions in West Asia.
The President of Iran met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Russia in October 2024. They discussed bilateral relations and regional issues. The summit was held in Brazil last year, and india later assumed the presidency this year.
In 2024, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the UAE joined the BRICS alliance, along with Iran. Indonesia also joined last year. With tis, the number of full members has now reached 11. Meanwhile, it is known that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi came to India to participate in the BRICS Foreign Ministers Meeting held in Delhi two months ago. (Maxim News)
