Jagan Launches YSR Aarogyasri Scheme In Eluru

Eluru, Jan.3 (Maxim News): AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched YSR Aarogyasri scheme in Eluru in West Godavari district on Friday. The scheme would cover some 2,059 diseases.

Speaking on occasion, Jagan said the scheme covered only 1059 diseases so far. He said they would provide cashless treatment to all cancer patients under the scheme. The Chief Minister said Aarogyasri was their second biggest welfare program launched in the new year. He said they would bring all those families, whose family income was less than Rs 5 lakh per annum under the Aarogyasri scheme.

He also said they would distribute 1.42 crore cards in the State under the scheme. The cards would be distributed through village secretariats to all the beneficiaries. He also said they would appoint one Asha worker for every 350 population in the State. Jagan Mohan Reddy supervised the stalls present on the premises of the stadium and the doctors performed an eye check up.

Earlier, Chief Minister Jagan unveiled inaugurated a bronze statue of Dr BR Ambedkar in Vangayagudem in Eluru mandal. Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani, Women & Child Welfare Minister Teneti Vanita, Minister for Housing Cherukuvada Sri Ranganadha Raju and other MLAs, MLCs and higher officials were present.
