Kolkata/Hyderabad, Oct 5 (Maxim News): A large number of Muslim women from Bankura area of West Bengal were subjected to a brutal insult on Friday (October 2) afternoon when they met local BJP MLA Niladri Shekhar Dana. They sought assistance under the Annapurna Yojana scheme, which is meant for women from economically distressed families.
The MLA insisted on chanting Jai Shri Ram instead of helping. Muslim women said that the MLA had made it clear that the Annapurna scheme would be provided first to Hindu women and only then to Muslim families. Sabina Monder, a woman, complained that she could not even eat rice after coming home after hearing the MLA’s words. (Maxim News)
