Internet, August 22: Indian intelligence agencies have raised an alert over Jaish E Mohammed propaganda linked to chief Masood Azhar.
Officials said the group is using Azhar’s speeches and ideology to attract young recruits.
Azhar has remained out of public view following reports about his health after Operation Sindoor.
Jaish E Mohammed Pushes Azhar Sacrifice Narrative
Intelligence sources said Pakistan’s ISI is keeping Azhar in hiding amid increased security concerns.
However, Jaish E Mohammed continues to circulate his old speeches and videos among its cadres.
Officials said Azhar’s speeches are being used heavily to influence newly recruited youth.
The group is also portraying the deaths of Azhar’s family members as sacrifices, sources said.
Accordingly, recruits are being encouraged to avenge the deaths of Jaish members.
Intelligence agencies found that old speeches were initially circulated as recent content after questions arose about Azhar’s condition.
Later, the group began explaining his absence while continuing to promote his ideology.
Sources said Azhar’s speeches and writings are being circulated in Pakistan and India.
The content is also reportedly reaching Jaish linked modules in India.
Officials said recruits are being encouraged to follow the group’s ideology without directly identifying their links to Jaish.
They said this approach could help conceal connections with Pakistan based handlers.
