Hyderabad, August 21: Jubilee Hills may lose its position as Hyderabad’s constituency with the highest number of voters after the latest SIR exercise.
The draft list shows 1,48,859 voters have shifted their registration elsewhere. Overall, 1,79,510 forms were not returned.
Jubilee Hills now has 2,27,219 voters. The constituency ranked third in the number of voters removed from the draft list.
Jubilee Hills Voter List Sees Major Changes
The constituency recorded 53,166 non matching voter details and 13,500 absent voters.
Officials also listed 8,232 deaths, 7,279 duplicate votes and 1,640 cases under other reasons.
The shifting is reportedly concentrated in basti areas, particularly Rahmatnagar, Shaikpet and Borabanda.
Yousufguda has also seen a significant shift in voters, according to officials.
Meanwhile, Jubilee Hills has undergone a major delimitation exercise. Its divisions increased from seven to 12.
Political parties are now focusing on the claims and objections period under the draft SIR.
They are checking voter forms, non matching details and names marked absent.
Parties are also seeking to restore eligible voters during the revision process.
