Justice Ramchandra Rao appointed in-charge CJ of TS High Court

Hyderabad, Aug.27 (Maxim News): Justice MS Ramchandra Rao was appointed as a new in-charge Chief Justice of Telangana High Court.

According to information, Justice Ramchandra Rao will take charge as the new chief justice in-charge of the high court soon. President Ramnath Kovind has given his assent in this regard. The Union Law Ministry has issued a gazette for the purpose. It directed Justice Ramchandra Rao to take charge as the new in-charge CJ of Telangana HC after the incumbent HC Him Kohli moved to SC as the new Judge.

Justice Ramchandra Rao will take over as the in-charge CJ of Telangana after Chief Justice Hima Kohli moved to Delhi as Supreme Court judge.

This development has taken place as the Centre and the President Ramnath Kovind approved the names of some senior CJs of the states to be the new judges of the Supreme Court after a Collegium’s recommendation.

Justice Ramchandra Rao is the son of retired SC Judge and law commission former chairman Justice M Jagannath Rao. (Maxim News)
