Kaleshwaram: Telangana Seeks CBI Inquiry On Flaws Flagged by NDSA

Hyderabad, Sept 2 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has recommended a CBI inquiry into the Kaleshwaram Project based on the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) report. The state government has written a letter to the Union Home Ministry to this effect.

The government has stated that the NDSA has identified flaws in the construction of the Kaleshwaram Project. There are flaws in the planning, design, quality, and construction. That is why it has asked for a CBI inquiry into this issue. It said that the Justice PC Ghosh Commission had also conducted an inquiry and identified the flaws. The government mentioned in the letter that the NDSA report was discussed in the Assembly. On the other hand, it has issued a GO relaxing the previous orders preventing the CBI from coming to the state. The government has stated that it will cooperate in all ways with the CBI investigation.
