Karimnagar: A 28-year-old youth died on Sunday while undergoing treatment after he consumed pesticide following a failed love affair in Karimnagar town. A selfie video recorded by the youth while consuming pesticide three days ago went viral on social media platforms.
Sai, a resident of Sapthagiri Colony in the town, in the video recorded by him, said he decided to end his life after his girl friend started avoiding him. Sai was in love with the girl for the past few years, but she had begun avoiding him in the recent past. Unable to accept the situation, he took the extreme step.
Sai consumed the pesticide on Friday in an isolated place and shared a selfie video with his friends and family members. The family found him and shifted him to a private hospital where he died on Sunday.
Sai was a marketing manager for Oppo mobile company.
