Hyderabad, April 28 (Maxim News) : Telangana politics turned tense after MLC Kavitha launched a new party named Telangana Rashtra Sena and made sharp remarks against former Chief Minister KCR during the launch event. Her comments quickly sparked debate across political circles and social media.
Kavitha reportedly said KCR was no longer “our man” and had become a “changed man.” The remarks drew strong reactions, with leaders from rival parties also entering the debate.
Congress MLA Danam Nagender condemned the comments and said it was not proper to describe one’s own father in such terms. He said family disputes should remain within the family and not enter public platforms.
Danam also objected to criticism of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during the same speech. He said personal family matters should not be mixed with attacks on the government.
Kavitha New Party Sparks Debate
Another Congress leader, Ramulu Nayak, also reacted to the controversy in a recent interview. He said political differences with KCR may exist, but public criticism of a father by his daughter was not a healthy trend.
He added that the family rose to prominence because of KCR’s political journey. He also challenged Kavitha to contest across all 119 Assembly constituencies if she wanted to prove public support.
The launch event has now become a major talking point in Telangana politics. Apart from targeting KCR, Kavitha also criticized leaders from Congress and BJP.
Political observers say the new party may reshape opposition politics if it gains traction. However, its real impact will depend on public response, cadre strength, and future alliances.
Questions are also rising over whom Kavitha will target next and whether her party will cut into the vote base of BRS, Congress, or BJP.
The developments have added fresh drama to Telangana politics at a time when parties are preparing for future electoral battles.(Maxim News)
