Hyderabad, Sept. 4 (Maxim News) : BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao has called a joint meeting of the party’s MLAs and MLCs on September 6.
The meeting will take place at KCR’s Erravelli residence at 2 pm. It comes a day before the Telangana Assembly session begins on September 7.
KCR has directed all BRS legislators to attend the meeting. The session will include members of both the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.
The meeting will focus on the party’s strategy for the upcoming Assembly proceedings. BRS legislators are expected to discuss issues that the party plans to raise during the session.
The meeting also assumes importance as the Assembly session approaches. The opposition BRS is likely to assess the government’s agenda and prepare its response to key issues.
KCR to guide BRS legislators ahead of Assembly session
KCR will preside over the meeting and is expected to provide directions to the party’s legislators. The joint format will bring MLAs and MLCs together ahead of the session.
BRS leaders can use the meeting to coordinate their approach in both Houses. They can also discuss floor coordination and issues that require greater attention.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Assembly session will begin on September 7. The government and opposition parties are expected to raise several public and political issues during the proceedings.
The BRS legislature party meeting will therefore serve as an important preparatory exercise. Party legislators will receive directions before entering the Assembly and Council.
