Hyderabad, April 20 (Maxim News): BRS chief KCR on Monday asserted that his party would return to power and protect the poor, while addressing a large public meeting in Jagityal. He also revived the reference to the term TRS, which drew political attention.
He said BRS remains the true party of Telangana households. He added that he would take full responsibility to safeguard the poor. At the same time, he assured party workers that the pink flag would rise again in the state.
KCR strongly criticised the HYDRAA system introduced by the present government. He alleged that authorities were demolishing houses of the poor in the name of HYDRAA. Therefore, he promised that BRS would scrap the system once it returns to power.
KCR targets HYDRAA and criticises rivals
KCR said the party would support all families affected by demolitions. Moreover, he assured that his government would stand firmly with the poor. He added that welfare would remain the top priority under BRS rule.
He also launched sharp attacks on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He recalled past incidents such as power tariff hikes and the Basheerbagh firing episode. Furthermore, he accused the current Telangana government of aligning with anti Telangana forces.
At the same time, KCR’s repeated mention of TRS created interest among political observers. Although the party was renamed as BRS, he used the old name to energise the cadre. He said the TRS spirit would always remain alive in Telangana politics.
He expressed concern over the hardships faced by farmers and poor families. Therefore, he urged people to support BRS again to ensure justice and welfare. He said only his party could address their issues effectively.
The public meeting also gained importance as senior leader T Jeevan Reddy joined BRS at the event. Consequently, party leaders said the development would strengthen BRS in north Telangana.
The gathering turned Jagityal town into a sea of pink flags. Meanwhile, KCR’s remarks and political signals have triggered fresh debate across Telangana.
