Hyderabad, April 17: G Kishan Reddy alleged that opposition parties are misleading people on the delimitation process and women’s reservation debate.
He said the ongoing delimitation exercise will not reduce seats for southern states. However, he claimed that parties are spreading misinformation for political reasons.
Kishan Reddy accused Indian National Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samithi of creating confusion among the public.
Kishan Reddy says opposition misleading on delimitation
He stated that increasing seats equally across states is being misrepresented. According to him, such claims are intended to block reforms and create fear.
The Union Minister also alleged that All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen is opposing women’s reservation.
Referring to the political narrative, he said it is not Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s “hybrid formula,” but rather a strategy linked to Asaduddin Owaisi.
He claimed AIMIM played a role in bringing Congress and BRS onto a common platform on the issue.
The remarks come amid heated debates in Parliament over the Women’s Reservation Bill and the Delimitation Bill.
