Hyderabad, April 17: Customs officials seized marijuana at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and arrested a woman passenger who arrived from Bangkok.
Officials recovered around 3 kg of marijuana during a baggage check. The contraband was detected during routine inspection at the airport.
The accused has been taken into custody and is being interrogated to trace possible links.
Marijuana seized at Shamshabad Airport in two cases
In a separate incident, Kollur Police arrested four persons in Sangareddy district. They were found carrying ganja procured from Usman Nagar.
Police seized another 3 kg of ganja from the accused. Further investigation is underway in both cases.
Authorities said strict vigilance is being maintained to curb drug trafficking in and around Hyderabad.
