Light To Moderate Rain And Thunderstorm In Several Part Of Hyderabad City Predicted: IMD

Hyderabad, April 14 (Maxim News): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a short-term weather alert for Hyderabad city, predicting light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the city within a few hours. Areas likely to be affected include LB Nagar, Kapra, Uppal, Malkajgiri, Osmania University, Cantonment, and Patancheru, all falling under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits.

According to the latest forecast and farmers weather bulletin issued by the IMD, the state will continue to experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorms at isolated places until April 20, (today (April 14)  thunderstorms and lightning and gusty winds (Upto 30 km/h) are likely in districts including Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Warangal, hanamkonda and Nagarkurnool, April 15 (Yellow Warning) Gusty winds (30-40 km/h) and lightning are likely in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, medchal-Malkajgiri, and other nearby district April 16-20

Light to moderate rains and thunderstorms are expected to continue at isolated locations across Telangana.  Meanwhile, maximum temperatures are expected to rise by 2-3 degrees C over the next three days.  

Commuters are urged to plan travel carefully.  Farmers are advised to avoid harvesting and drying of crops in open fields. Citizens are requested to stay indoors during lightning or storm warnings.  (Maxim News)
