LPG Cylinder Prices Cut As December Rates Drop

  • LPG commercial cylinder price reduced by Rs 10 from December 1
  • New LPG rates released for Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad

The reduction in LPG commercial cylinder prices came into effect today as oil companies announced a cut of Rs 10 on 19 kg cylinders across the country. The change began with the start of December and follows recent trends that show steady decreases in commercial gas prices based on international market dollar rates. Officials stated that “LPG commercial cylinder rates slashed from December 1,” marking another small drop for users.

According to the official website of Indian Oil, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder in Delhi now stands at Rs 1580.50. The rate in Kolkata is Rs 1684. In Mumbai, the new price is Rs 1531.50. Meanwhile, the cylinder costs Rs 1739.50 in Chennai. In Hyderabad, the revised rate has reached Rs 1801.50. These changes show that metro cities continue to see slight differences in prices, though all follow the same Rs 10 reduction.

Commercial cylinders are mostly used in hotels and restaurants. Therefore, the price cut is expected to bring small relief to many businesses. However, domestic consumers will not see any change at the moment. Oil companies confirmed that domestic LPG prices remain the same across all major cities.

The price of a 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder is still Rs 905 in Hyderabad. Officials also noted that cooking gas prices have remained stable for some time. The rates in other major cities continue without any revision. The unchanged domestic pricing means households will need to wait for future announcements to see if any adjustment is made.

The December revision reflects the ongoing link between international market movements and domestic LPG pricing. Oil companies continue to adjust commercial rates based on global conditions. Therefore, further changes may come in the following months depending on international trends.
