Manager, 2 Staffers In Dundigal Municipality, Caught By ACB Sleuths, One Absconding

Hyderabad, Aug.9 (Maxim News): Govind Rao, Manager, Junior Assistant Vangala Krishna Reddy, Bill collector Mahendar Reddy and outsourcing employee Narsingam Kiran working in the office of Municipal Commissioner, Dundigal Municipality in Medchal-Malkajgiri District were caught by sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau afternoon for demanding and accepting bribe from civil contractor to pass his long pending bills.

According to Ramana Kumar, Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad, principal accused Govind Rao was caught red handed at his office when he allegedly demanded and accepted bribe amount of Rs 7,000 from complainant Allepu Rajaram, civil contractor of Karwan to do official favour i.e. process his file relating to pending bills of civil works and issue a cheque for Rs 2.6 lakh.

Similarly, Vangala Krishna Reddy, Junior Assistant in the Municipality, was caught red handed at his office when he accepted bribe of Rs 13,000 and a cheque for Rs 17,000, Narsingam Kiran, Outsourcing employee of Bahadurpally village Ward Office was caught red handed when he demanded and accepted Rs 11,000 at the instance of Mahender Reddy, Bill collector, Bahadurpally Ward Office, from the complainant.

Total bribe amount of Rs 31,000 and a cheque of Rs 17,000 were recovered from the possession of Govind Rao, Krishna Reddy and Kiran. Hands of the three accused proved positive in chemical test and they were arrested and produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases. However, Bill collector Mahendar Reddy was absconding.
