Hyderabad, Oct. 8: Mirchowk Police recovered 25 lost and stolen mobile phones using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal and technical investigation.
The recovered phones were handed over to their respective complainants on October 8, 2026. The handover took place at Mirchowk Police Station in the presence of the ACP Mirchowk Division.
The phones belonged to different complainants who had reported losing their devices under various circumstances. Police used the CEIR portal and technical investigation to trace the devices from different locations.
Mirchowk Police Trace Lost Mobile Phones
The Detective Team of Mirchowk Police Station led the recovery effort. DSI Md. Mujtaba Ali Quasim worked with the Crime Team to trace the missing phones.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Inspector M. Kondal Rao and Detective Inspector N. Saidaiah. ACP G. Shyam Sunder supervised the recovery operation.

Police advised the public to immediately report lost or stolen mobile phones at the nearest police station. They also urged citizens to use the CEIR portal to help authorities trace and recover missing devices.
