Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 12 (Maxim News): The Prime Minister Narendra Modi government at the center has brought the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PMKSNS) for the farmers. Under this scheme, the Modi government is providing Rs. 6,000 per acre per year to the farmers. This amount is being provided in three installments of Rs. 2 thousand each.

It can be said that this is one of the schemes that brought a good name to the Modi government.  In the last Lok Sabha elections, this scheme has brought rain of votes to the BJP. Meanwhile, it seems that the Central government has decided to increase the amount of this scheme. It is reported that the Center intends to give Rs. 8,000 per year with another Rs. 2,000 added to the current Rs. 5,000.

With this decision, an additional burden of Rs. 20 thousand crores will fall on the center every year.  In this context of five state elections and then the Lok Sabha elections, the Center hopes that the increase in financial assistance provided under the PM Kisan scheme will benefit the beneficiaries and come together with the BJP.  It seems that an official announcement is likely to come in a few days.  (Maxim News)
