Hyderabad, Dec 24 (Maxim News): VCC India Private Limited (VCC), the Indian subsidiary of the new Canadian start-up telecom company VMedia Inc., announced its officially launch of operations here on Saturday at NSL Arena SEZ in Uppal.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was made in the presence of Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary to Government of Telangana, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (ITE&C) Department, and Mr. Uday Munjal, AVP, Research and Investment Facilitation, Invest India, GoI undertaking.

VCC has been organized to provide business process services to parent VMedia Inc., which recently launched internet, IPTV and home phone services for residential consumers in Canada. After just three years of operations, VMedia already generates $20 million in annual revenues, and has established itself as the only alternative to the major cable and telco providers in Canada.

VCC Hyderabad facility provides all technical support services, as well as sales and customer care, for VMedia’s English language market. At launch, VCC has employed nearly 50 people at its premises at NSL Arena, with plans to increase to over 150 in 12 months’ time.

“VCC is thrilled to have the privilege of occupying premises in the prestigious NSL Arena complex, and have the benefit of being able to employ the skilled residents of the surrounding areas,” said George Burger, Co-Founder of VMedia and a director of VCC. “We are particularly grateful for the assistance of Mr. Uday Munjal, of Invest India in directing us to the extraordinary Special Economic Zone programme. From that point forward, under the guidance of Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary, IT and his officers, we were up and running in less than six months.”

VMedia’s rapidly growing presence in the Canadian market ensures increased employment opportunities for residents of the surrounding area, and given VCC’s start-up stage it promises excellent prospects for advancement for new hires, which VCC is actively seeking. All enquiries should be directed to VCC’s Managing Director, Mr. Girish Gopa Kumar. (Maxim News)
