The previous government proposed pharma city as a priority in the Hyderabad-Warangal industrial corridor.  Now it should be withdrawn and fresh proposals should be allowed.

The Previous UPA government had granted a National institute of Design (NID0 to Hyderabad.  The then Union commerce Minister Anand sharma also laid the foundation stone.  After the bifurcation of the state NID was moved to vijayawada.  In this context, a new NID should be granted to Telangana.

In the common state, the Central government has sanctioned a mega leather park in Nellore district.  In this context of bifurcation of the state, if the Center grants Mega Leather Park to Telangana, we will allocate the necessary land in Karimnagar and Jangaon districts.

The Central government has given brownfield status to Mega Textile Park in Warangal as part of the PM Mitra Scheme, it should be given greenfield status.  If this is changed, the park will get additional funds of Rs. 300 crores in the form of grants.

As Telangana has already expressed readiness to set up testing centers for technical textiles (bulletproof jackets. conveyor belts, air bags etc.) the state should be granted a technical textile center of excellence.

A National Handloom Technology Center (Indian Institute of handloom Technology – IIHT) should be granted to Telangana.  As there are seven handloom clusters in the state, the grant of IIHT will enable the weavers to adopt modern technology and increase their income. (Maxim News)
