Bengaluru/Hyderabad, Aug 15 (Maxim News): Police have arrested a young man named Asaful Malik, who is associated with an Afghanistan-based terror group. He was found to be trying to join the organization along with a member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He was arrested after receiving information about suspicious online activities, it was said.
According to the police, Asaphool Malik, a resident of West Bengal, has been working as a security guard at a prominent tech company in the Jigani area of Bengaluru for the past year. Police patrolling the Bommasandra Industrial Area noticed that he had been engaging in suspicious activities for some time. He was detained on Friday and questioned, and links to terrorist organizations were suspected.
He is in frequent contact with the Afghan-based TTP terrorist handler. It seems that they are planning attacks in India and Pakistan. For this, the police have found that he is preparing to go to Afghanistan and join the terrorist organization. The police said that two Uttar Pradesh people who have links with terrorist organizations in Pakistan have also been detained. (Maxim News)
