Niranjan Takes Opposite Parties To Task On RTC Strike Issue

Hyderabad October 9 (Maxim News): Agriculture minister S Niranjan Reddy today expressed displeasure at the RTC strike which entered fifth day. Addressing a meeting, he criticized the opposition parties for their support to the strike which is not correct.

Reddy flayed that those on strike against norms are cutting the tree they are sitting on. Merger of RTC with Government is not a right demand, the minister fumed. The minister said that the opposition parties are playing dramas on the strike. The minister slammed the RTC employees for going on strike during festive season.

They caused a lot of inconvenience to the people of the state through strike which should be called off immediately, he said.

He sought to know whether similar demands of the employees will be accepted in Congress and BJP ruled states. The minister asked the employees not to fall in the trap of the political parties working with some secret agenda and supporting the strike.

Niranjan Reddy criticised that the opposition parties are involved in double speak on the state issues. The government is committed for farmers welfare through 24 hour power, rythu bandhu, rythu bhima and other schemes, he added. (Maxim News)
