The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had assured that the work would be completed in 12 hours, prompting the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) to announce a temporary shutdown from 6 AM to 6 PM on Saturday. However, even after 30 hours, the pipeline work remains incomplete, and water supply has not been restored.

Water Board Expresses Frustration

Angered by the delay, the Water Board criticized the NHAI, stating that the promised 12-hour repair time had stretched to 30 hours, causing severe inconvenience to thousands of residents.
