Operation Sindoor: City Police Act Comes Into Effect

Hyderabad, May 10 (Maxim News): The Union Home Minister has alerted the states of the country in the wake of the Indo-Pak War. The Telangana government and police, which were immediately alerted, took preemptive measures. Security has been tightened in Hyderabad.

For the safety of the people, a ban has been imposed on bursting crackers or fireworks in public places in military cantonment areas and in view of the safety of the people in the surrounding areas.

The Commissioner of Police said that in view of the current security environment, there is a possibility that firecrackers could be misinterpreted as an explosion or terrorist-related activity, which could put unnecessary pressure on the security forces. He said that bursting of firecrackers in public places, meetings and events is prohibited.

He said that the restrictions will come into effect immediately as per the City Police Act, CP CV anand clarified that the restrictions will continue until further orders. (Maxim News)
