It said that due to the latest conditions imposed by Pakistan, flights to India from North America, Europe, Britain, and the Middle East are being further delayed. Flights from these regions are taking alternative routes, which is causing these delays. For these reasons, it advised passengers to make plans accordingly. It said that it regretted the inconvenience caused to passengers. It also reiterated on this occasion that it will give top priority to the safety of passengers as well as crew.

IndiGo Airlines also responded similarly.  It explained that Pakistan’s decision is affecting many international flights.  They are sorry for the inconvenience caused to passengers.  However, IndiGo has clarified that they will work to gradually reduce this inconvenience.

On the other hand, international flights from India to many countries are taking alternative routes instead of Pakistan’s airspace, increasing travel times.  There is a campaign going on that airlines are also charging higher airfares.

On April 22, a terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam.  26 people were killed in this attack.  In this context, India almost severed its relations with Pakistan.  In that order, it canceled the Indus Waters Treaty.  It also ordered the Indian diplomat to leave the country.  India has taken many such key decisions.

At such a time, Pakistan also responded in the same way.  It canceled the Simla Agreement between the two countries.  Similarly, Pakistan made a key announcement that Indian flights should not fly over its airspace.  In this context, many international flights departing from India are reaching their destinations through another route.  This is taking more time and consuming more fuel.
