Participate in Green Drive in Telangana: Indrakaran

Hyderabad, June 4 (Maxim News): Forest and Environment minister, A Indrakaran Reddy today exhorted the youth and students to participate in the green drive for building a new state of greenery to enjoy clean environment. On world environment day the minister appealed that the people and the officials can together fight pollution for a green and clean environment.

It is the time for greenery and pollution free environment and youth and students have to play an active role for better future, he said.

The minister said that the government is committed for protection of environment through green drive. We are conducting several phases of Haritha Haram to expand greenery in the state.

The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has on mission mode taken up the green drive across the state. The government is ideal to other states to ensure that the greenery increase to much extent. KCR gets credit for the expansion of greenery which increased to 33 per cent from the previous 26 per cent.

The increase in greenery in the state of Telangana is adding to the rains and clean environment he claimed. Our government led by the chief minister who has vision for better future of greenery has been offering good results, he said.

The Minister further said that the state government will encourage the officials at the rural areas and towns to see that the greenery expanded significantly. The leaders and officials in the villages should take care of the saplings planted for better environment. Amid corona pandemic we should fight for green surroundings and get pure resources, he said.
