Hyderabad, November 8: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said that the hopes and aspirations of the people form the central agenda of the Congress government. He stated that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were attempting to divert public attention with misinformation campaigns during the ongoing by-election in Jubilee Hills.
While campaigning across Srinagar Colony and Yellareddyguda on Saturday in support of Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, Sridhar Babu underlined that the government’s focus is on development and welfare. “Our every step is for the future of the next generation and for the progress of the State,” he said, calling upon voters to support the Congress with confidence. He asserted that only the Congress is fully committed to the welfare of all sections of society.
The Minister criticised the previous BRS government for neglecting the Jubilee Hills constituency over the years. He said that despite being one of Hyderabad’s prominent areas, residents continued to face issues with basic infrastructure. “Those who ignored you for years now come seeking votes — people must question them,” he remarked, urging citizens not to be misled by political rhetoric.
Highlighting the performance of the Congress government over the past two years, Sridhar Babu pointed to several initiatives in welfare and infrastructure. He said corrective measures had been introduced to address the injustices and failures of the previous regime. He also assured that the State government would extend complete support for the comprehensive development of Jubilee Hills if Congress’s candidate is elected.
Describing Naveen Yadav as a leader who “understands local issues deeply and remains accessible to the people,” the Minister appealed to residents to elect him for real progress in the constituency. He said the victory of Yadav would strengthen the ongoing reform agenda of the Congress and accelerate the city’s development.
Sridhar Babu reiterated that the Congress government aims to deliver growth that benefits every citizen. He urged voters to give the party a decisive mandate and teach “an appropriate lesson” to both the BRS and BJP. Telangana State Library Corporation Chairman Dr. Riaz, Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, and other senior leaders joined him during the campaign.
