Police Denies Permission To Congress Rally: Uttam Angry

Hyderabad, Dec.27 (Maxim News): TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday asked the State government as to how it had given permission for RSS to hold a massive rally in the city. He took exception to the statement of RSS chief Mohan Bhagavath for terming all the 130 crore Indians as Hindus.

Addressing mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan here today, the TPCC chief alleged that the State government denied permission to his party to hold its proposed “Tiranga Yatra Save Nation – Save Constitution program” in the city. He also ridiculed that the Telangana State did not have Indian Police Service but Kalvakuntla Police Service. He called upon the party workers to hoist party flag on Saturday at all the district party headquarters to celebrate the 135th foundation day of the party. He also asked the party workers to reach Gandhi bhavan after holding the celebrations to take part in the rally.

Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao wondered as to how the police could decline permission for Congress rally by citing traffic problem. He said his party had already held such rallies across the country. He made it clear that their rally would conclude at Dr Ambedkar statue at Liberty crossroads as planned. He also alleged that CM KCR hates Dr Ambedkar and turns allergic at the mention of Ambedkar’s name. He also asked the CM as to how he allowed his ally MIM party to hold a public meeting at Nizamabad despite the election code.

CLP leader Bhatti Vikarmarka Mallu, Hyderabad City Congress president M. Anjan Kumar Yadav were also present. (Maxim News)
