KTR Demands Bandi Sanjay Removal From Union Cabinet

Hyderabad, May 17: BRS working president KTR on Sunday demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi remove Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar from the Union Cabinet to ensure an impartial investigation into the POCSO case involving his son Bandi Sai Bhagirath.

Addressing the “Na Booth.. Na Vishwas” programme in LB Nagar, KTR alleged that justice would not be served if Bandi Sanjay continued as a Union Minister during the investigation.

He claimed that this was the first instance in the country where a lookout notice had reportedly been issued against the son of a Union Minister.

KTR Alleges Attempt To Influence Probe

KTR accused Bandi Sanjay of allegedly protecting his son for several days after the case surfaced.

He said the case had become a matter of concern not only for Telangana but also for the country.

The BRS leader alleged that both the State and Central leadership were attempting to weaken the case and suppress media coverage.

KTR criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and alleged that the State government was trying to dilute the investigation.

He also claimed that pressure and threats were allegedly exerted on the victim’s family.

According to KTR, the victim’s mother stood firm despite pressure and continued to support the minor girl.

He appreciated the efforts of the BRS women’s wing and party leaders, including R S Praveen Kumar, for raising the issue publicly.

The BRS working president further alleged that confusion was being created over whether Bandi Sai Bhagirath was arrested or had surrendered before police.

KTR demanded immediate removal of Bandi Sanjay from the Union Cabinet and called for a transparent and unbiased investigation into the case.
