Polling In Nizamabad LS Seat From 8 am To 6 pm: CEO

Hyderabad, April 7 (Maxim News): Telangana CEO Rajat Kumar today said polling will be conducted in Nizamabad parliamentary constituency on April 11 from 8 am to 6 pm.

Speaking to mediaperons here today, Rajat Kumar said the Election Commission has decided to conduct polling during these hours and a mock polling conducted from 6 am to 8 am. He also pressed a helicopter to Nizamabad for the polls. The CEO expressed his full satisfaction at the polling arrangements. It was decided to set up a helipad at each constituency in the State, he said, adding that for smooth and fair polls, some 400 engineers were working in the segment and one engineer will coordinate with one officer in each sector.

The farmers, who are in poll fray, are happy with the arrangements, he claimed. The EC offered permission for farmers’ rally on April 9. The voters can get photo ID slips and 95 per cent of voter identity cards were distributed so far and the remaining will be completed soon, he said. “As the EC declined to use services of the ex-servicemen, we will make use of the services of NCC and NSS volunteers, Rajat Kumar said, adding that “We have requested the Centre for additional forces and will use them as per requirement for peaceful conduct of the polls. The EC will take stern action against those who violated poll code”, the CEO warned. (Maxim News)
