Plan To Use 4,000 Electric Buses: KTR

Hyderabad, April 7 (Maxim News): TRS working president KT Rama Rao said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi copied Rythu Bandhu scheme introduced by CM KCR for benefit of farmers.

Addressing a meeting as chief guest in PNR Covention hall in Kompally here today, KTR said, “Narendra Modi copied our scheme and renamed it as PM Kisan, which can be attributed that the entire nation was looking at our model schemes. Similarly Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu copied our scheme and implementing Annadatha Sukhibha”, he said.

“While going to step down as Prime Minister, Modi has started the farmers’ scheme. KCR was determined to complete all the projects on a war-footing and some 11 States were keen on following Mission Bhagiratha to provide potable waters to their people”, he said. He also said KCR aims to irrigate one crore acres and 1,300 tmc waters was required for drinking and irrigation and that amount will be helpful to irrigation of 1.25 crore acres in the State.

KTR reiterated that the State government was keen on providing basic facilities, infrastructure, roads, beautification of all lakes, command control center to be in place in three months. Stating that two reservoirs were planned, KTR said one reservoior at Keshavapuram will be started as its tenders nearing completion to cater to the needs of Hyderabad. The former minister also said some 4,000 buses in TSRTC will be replaced with electric buses and 40 of them have already been introduced to the international airport.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley appreciated the administration of KCR, he claimed. However, the Centre failed to provide financial help to flagship programs like Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya and others. He appealed to the people to vote for M Rajasekhar Reddy, TRS MP candidate of Malkajgiri to win the polls by huge majority. “We can get funds and achieve our rights by winning 16 MP seats in the polls”, he said and hoped to get support from people.
