Hyderabad, May 27: Royal Challengers Bengaluru stormed into the IPL 2026 final after defeating Gujarat Titans by 92 runs in Qualifier 1 on Monday.
Chasing a huge target, Gujarat Titans collapsed under pressure as RCB bowlers dominated from the start. Gujarat were reduced to 50 for five wickets at one stage and never fully recovered from the early setback.
Rahul Tewatia fought a lone battle for Gujarat Titans and scored 68 runs. However, his effort went in vain as wickets kept falling at the other end.
Gujarat Titans were eventually bowled out for 162 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
RCB reach final with dominant win
With the massive victory, Royal Challengers Bengaluru became the first team to enter the IPL 2026 final.
Despite the defeat, Gujarat Titans still remain in the tournament and will get another chance in Qualifier 2 later this month.
Gujarat will face the winner of the Eliminator match to fight for a place in the final.
The Eliminator match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals is scheduled to be played on Tuesday.
RCB bowlers received praise for their disciplined performance as they completely dismantled Gujarat’s batting line up after putting the opposition under pressure early in the chase.
Fans celebrated Bengaluru’s commanding victory as the franchise moved one step closer to lifting its maiden IPL title.
