Hyderabad, April 22 (Maxim News): Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy has alleged that the Revanth Reddy government has failed in the Kaleshwaram corruption investigation. He questioned why action is not being taken against the Kaleshwaram irregularities. He said that the verdict given by the Telangana High Court today (Wednesday) regarding the report of the Justice PC Ghosh Commission set up on the irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project has once again exposed the failure of this government. Kishan Reddy issued a press release to this effect. He flagged that although there is evidence of massive corruption in the Kaleshwaram project, the Revanth Reddy government has completely failed to present it effectively before the court in a legal manner. He criticized the court’s verdict on further action based on the commission report due to the inability to submit adequate evidence in accordance with legal standards. He alleged that the Congress has once again proven that it is a government of words and not a government of deeds.
Kishan Reddy criticized the state High Court verdict today as a slap in the face to the Congress government. He mentioned that during the election, Congress and Revanth Reddy had made big promises that they would take strict action against the corruption committed by KCR, his family members, ministers and BRS MLAs after coming to power. But even after two and a half years of coming to power, he questioned why no comprehensive investigation has been conducted on any corruption or irregularities. He said that the CM had said that there was corruption of thousands of crores of rupees in the Kaleshwaram project. He also said that corruption and irregularities had taken place in schemes like the expenses made in the name of Formula One race, drug case, land encroachment, land allotment, Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya. He questioned why Revanth Reddy had repeatedly announced that he would recover the corrupt money, but not a single action had been taken against them. He criticized Revanth Reddy for not taking action against KCR and his family members because of the friendship between the two parties.

Kishan Reddy alleged that the Congress and BRS parties are engaged in ‘dope fighting’ in the public sphere and are behaving as if they are saying ‘I will do as I am told, you do as you are told’. He was angry that both parties are cheating the people of Telangana. He said that the people of Telangana voted for the Congress to get rid of KCR’s corrupt rule and want change. But the Revanth government is limiting its promises to words and asking why those who have committed corruption are being left behind. He accused the Congress government, which has been ruling the state for the last two and a half years, of committing corruption and irregularities and looting the public money of Telangana indiscriminately. That is why he criticized the Congress government for being hesitant to take action against the irregularities committed during the BRS regime.
Kishan Reddy accused Revanth Reddy of administrative failure and political betrayal of the people of Telangana by ignoring the promises made. He demanded that the Congress government should immediately take legal and transparent action in corruption cases as per the promises made to the people before, after the elections, in the Assembly and outside. In the wake of today’s High Court verdict, Congress top leader Rahul Gandhi insisted that CM Revanth Reddy should answer the people of Telangana. Why have the election promises not been implemented? He questioned. Why is action being delayed in corruption cases? He protested. Do thieves and robbers want to destroy the state by competing to loot Telangana? Kishan Reddy satirized. (Maxim News)
